Mahmood Khan And The Bee Gees

Versatile and legendary, the Bee Gees were a band consisting of the Barry Gibb and his twin brothers Maurice Gibb and Robin Gibb. The band's legacy spanned over 45 years in the music industry. Sadly, Barry is the only surviving member of the band. However, the band deeply inspired one musician, Mahmood Khan.

Mahmood Khan is another great songwriter, vocalist, and music producer. Khan was born and raised in Pakistan, and currently resides in Australia. He started his music career in 1995 in Los Angeles, California, and has received international acclaim for breaking cultural and geographical barriers through the language of music.

The Bee Gees and Khan are linked together, because he is deeply inspired by the group's work. When Khan decided to pursue a music career, he met the Gibb brothers in 1987, and has felt a deep connection with them since their initial meeting. Khan held each brother at a different level of love and affection.

Barry Gibb was an inspiration for Mahmood Khan and he owes his successful career to Barry. Recently, Khan had much to say about Barry during an interview; when asked for details, he said that Barry is a hard-working artist and he is in love with what Barry does with music.
While the relationship with Barry stemmed from respect and honor, Khan’s bonding with Robin Gibb was more personal. According to Khan, the two were like brothers. After Robin’s death in 2003, it took a long time for Mahmood Khan to overcome the grief and shock. In 2012, Khan released an album dedicated to Robin; the album was named “Hum Do.”

When talking about Khan’s relationship with Maurice Gibb, it would be correct to say that Khan had a very distinctive relationship with him which cannot be described in words. Numerous pictures of both can be found on the internet, but Khan has never talked about Maurice explicitly. However, the lasting effect of the Bee Gees on Khan is immense and continues to this day.
