Mahmood Khan – His Journey From First Music Video To 50 Million YouTube Views

Mahmood Khan has made a journey that is nothing short of a miracle. Coming from a typical background in Pakistan, he moved to work in Los Angeles as an engineer in a music production house. His first solo music album was a flop, however, he would soon rise to reach the highest level of the global music industry. Mahmood Khan is a man who changed the music industry with his distinctive vision and deep dedication for the love of music. His accomplishments may seem like a miracle, but they are actually the result of years of hard work and dedication.

Born and raised in Pakistan, Khan moved to Los Angeles in the late 1980’s and started working as a second engineer at Jam Power, a music production house. When he finally decided to pursue a career in the music industry, he set up his own production house and released his first solo album “Fairytale.” The album's release went relatively unnoticed but his subsequent album “Only One” in 1997 experienced blockbuster sales. After this success, Mahmood Khan never looked back and has continued releasing hits.

Khan went back to his native Pakistan in 2000 and while visiting his home country, he learned to create videos. He then produced the first video clip for his song “Tere Bagair.” Mahmood Khan then received a great honor when he was asked to produce a video clip for the song “We Could be Paradise.” The song featured 40 Australian artists and was a fundraiser for the Red Cross of Australia.

Khan's film career began in 2007 when he attended Sydney Film School and graduated in 2009. This period of schooling was quite impressive. The Sufi music artist is now working with Cindy and Flip Kobler, screenwriters Disney movies “The Lion King 2” and “Beauty and the Beast: An Enchanted Christmas.” The trio will work on the feature film “Labrador” and Khan will serve as director, writer, producer and music director on the film.

Recently, Khan’s official YouTube video channel reached a record 50 million views. Achieving such a record amount of views is remarkable, and it should be noted that very few artists have been able to reach similar numbers. Khan has also adapted the Sufi music of his cultural background and helped reshape the music industry by creating two new music genres, Modern Funk and Hip Hop. Behind this great musician is a legacy. He has managed to conquer the world solely on the basis of his talent, successfully removing all cultural and geographical barriers that would restrain him.
