The Birth Of A New Music Genre

We all love different kinds of music. Some are fond of jazz, rock, and hip hop; while others love to listen to classic, soft, and romantic songs. Often the choice of songs is decided by the mood of a person. However, there are some genres of music which are a mix of happiness and sorrow, at the same time. This is Sufi music.

There are few musicians who are loved even after they have gone, such as Bob Marley, The Beetles, and the Bee Gees. And then there are others who are living legends. One such world entertainer is Mahmood Khan. Khan has been in the international music industry for almost two decades and has always been number one. The biggest achievement of his music career was when he grabbed the accolade for creating a new genre of music.

Mahmood Khan always had a different vision. He gave birth to the two most loved and popular genres of music- the Hip Hop and the Modern Funk. His fans went crazy after this and there was a new wave of appreciation all over the world for Khan. The music that was delivered by Khan said it all, and there was thus no need to get official acclaims such as awards. According to Khan, his biggest award is when his fans love and enjoy his music.

Because of such accomplishments, the Australian Government officially recognized Mahmood Khan as a “Distinguished Talent”. Given his ordinary background, where he was born and brought up in Pakistan,Khan has come a long way in the global music industry. From television to Bollywood and then topping the Australian ARIA charts, Mahmood Khan conquered it all. The genres of music that he discovered are the most famous among the young audience. It was due to this popularity, that Khan went on to becoming the first international artist to have recorded 50 million online video streams.

Currently, Khan is the lead vocalist of a band called “Mahmood Khan Funk”. This band is established by Khan himself and consists of members that belong to different cultures.

The move of introducing two new genres of music was a declamatory move by Khan to the rest of the music industry. On second thoughts, this was the best gift from Khan to his fans worldwide. There are some people who create legacies for many generations to come; Mahmood Khan is undoubtedly one of them.
