Mahmood Khan – “The Distinguished Talent”

All over the world, the music industry has seen many mediocre artists reach the top, and has seen the fall of various successful artists too. What makes this difference? Is it the number of fans, they have or is it the background they come from? In my opinion, it is their talent that differentiates them from one another. It is righteously said that success is never forever and failure is never final. All that matters is the hard work and dedication.

In 1995, one such musician began his career at the international level. He is none other than Mahmood Khan, a Pakistan born and Australia based artist. As any other amateur in the industry, his initial years were not marked with great success and fame. However, Khan had the desire and determination to never give up. No matter what, he always wanted to stick to the fight.

For an artist, to come from an ordinary background to a completely foreign land and then establish himself was not an easy task. However, it took only two years for Mahmood Khan to turn his failures into success. He gave his first blockbuster "Only One", featuring Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan,  in 1997. He gave birth to a completely new genre of music known as the Modern Funk Culture and popularized the Hip Hop. The music industry was left in utter awe when they saw the population going crazy for this artist.

Today, Khan has his own band, consisting of members from all cultures and backgrounds. This band is known as the “Mahmood Khan Funk”. The band is popular all over the world and has recognized Khan as a global figure. Mahmood Khan is an all-rounder and has established himself in the fields of singing, music production, writing, and film making. In his career of fifteen years, Khan has given a new dimension to music.

The list of his accomplishments is long. Through Sufi Music, Khan has won the hearts of millions of fans and is now the number one artist on the ARIA charts of Australia. Mahmood Khan was proclaimed with several titles in his career by the leading magazines and  his large number of fans. Not only that, the Australian Government officially recognized Khan as one of the most “Distinguished Talents” that the world music industry ever had. 2011 marked the success of Mahmood Khan which made his music career an eternal legacy.
