Mahmood Khan – A Filmmaker

Mahmood Khan is one of the greatest music producers of all time, a terrific songwriter, and an immensely talented singer. However, Khan also has other skills that are not known by many. While Khan is an outstanding music producer, he is also one of the finest filmmakers in the industry.

It is a known fact that Khan started playing guitar and piano from a very young age of seven, and this marked the beginning of his music career. When his first solo album “Fairytale” was launched, it was not even noticed in the Australian music industry. After this, a desire to do something great and make his existence noticed, led Khan to outrun his own limitations. He went back to Pakistan and learned to shoot video clips. This young music producer could now make his own videos, and with his newly acquired skill he launched his album “Only One”. Mahmood Khan had shot the video clip of this album himself.  This album showcasing Khan as a lead vocalist, music producer, songwriter, and featuring the great legend Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, was a blockbuster in the music industry.

This huge success in Khan’s life was a turning point and after this there was no looking back. To enhance his knowledge, Khan took admission in Sydney Film School in 2007. Two years later, in 2009, Khan graduated from this school and wanted to do something that would be remembered in the history.

Mahmood Khan was filled with utmost desire and enthusiasm to produce films and write screenplays. As a result, Khan undertook the responsibility to write screenplays for two famous films.
After his first success in the film industry, Khan was no longer seen as a music producer only. The world found a new talent in an already highly talented and skilled man. Even the film industry could now look up to a new and flourishing talent, the one who had all the skills. Khan was referred to as a complete package and his popularity began to rise even more.

As a filmmaker, Mahmood Khan produced a feature film in 2011 named “Labrador”. Khan is the music director, producer, director, and the writer, of this film. This film was equally appreciated by his fans because of the music, and a unique and distinguished plot. This movie also gave new horizons to Khan's career and now he was seen as a multi-talented artist who had the power to touch people's lives in an impactful way through his art.
